2020

It is March and I still can not believe that it is 2020!  It has been a long time since I blogged regularly and one of my new years resolutions was to get to it!  Ever since we moved in 2015, I keep thinking I will "catch up" on our blog but now I am realizing that will never happen.  Recently, I had a friend ask me if I still wrote or blogged and the answers is not really, I start a lot of posts but never finish.  Somewhere in between sports, scouts, volunteering and planning meals I have lost myself.  2020 is the year of LEAH! So I have been making a effort to do things for me, walking, making time for coffee with friends and writing.  Because writing has always been so therapeutic for me, I hope to relocate my voice in my personal writing and begin blogging again because it is a unique way to share our story and our feelings in this current time and space to read in the future.  And, as we are all in a Pandemic COVID-19 Quarantine- there is no better time than now than do do something therapeutic for ourselves!

We rang in 2020 by staying at home.  Tyler had to work at 6am and it was raining. We rang in 2019 trying something new that we planed to do again- the Birch Bay Ring of Fire. A friend told me about it, it sounded cool.  The bay is shaped like a half circle and at an exact time, people all around the bay light flares. It's super awesome. However, I wasn't feeling well and it was raining so we let the kids plan the evening.  We had nachos, played Mario Kart and board games, watched a movie and just enjoyed each other!
Knowing that we would be at home for midnight, I bought a bunch of party poppers and these confetti cannons at target in advance.  Oh My!!! There was confetti EVERYWHERE!!!!!  Tyler went to bed & after some fun playing in the confetti- the kids cleaned it up!  We have however, still found a few lonely pieces here and there!
