We enjoyed another summer creating memories of fun & chaos. The actually calendar dates for the seasons never seem to coincide with the weather in Washington.  Summer in my head runs from the last day of school to Labor Day weekend.  Since moving to Whatcom county in June 2015, we don't spend as much time at the parks.  Although the people in the community are more family oriented & friendly, the parks system leave much to be desired after living in King County.  Our favorite park this summer was Lynden City Park.  Issac spends the entire time in the creek chasing fish and crawdads.  Josie goes back and fourth from the water to the swings, with the tire swing being her favorite. Three Years

Thanks to the fun "memories" feature on social media, I was reminded that today marks three years since our family moved from King County to Whatcom County. So many things have changed and yet so much is the same.  We moved to Ferndale on a Sunday and I started working part time for my aunt that Tuesday.  The days, weeks and months flew bye.  Tyler would work during the day and then I worked at night and it seemed like we were constantly shuffling back and fourth in a constant struggle to function.  I lost myself moving home.  Silly to get exactly what I wanted for so many years to be meet with challenges.  But the commitment Tyler and I have to each other and our family fueled us to take all of life's punches head on and overcome the difficulties we faced from relocating. Now in 2018 we are back and my friends know that I have dedicated 2018 to being the year of LEAH!  I quit my part time job in March and since then I can feel myself shining through and part of m
