Three Years

Thanks to the fun "memories" feature on social media, I was reminded that today marks three years since our family moved from King County to Whatcom County.

So many things have changed and yet so much is the same.  We moved to Ferndale on a Sunday and I started working part time for my aunt that Tuesday.  The days, weeks and months flew bye.  Tyler would work during the day and then I worked at night and it seemed like we were constantly shuffling back and fourth in a constant struggle to function.  I lost myself moving home.  Silly to get exactly what I wanted for so many years to be meet with challenges.  But the commitment Tyler and I have to each other and our family fueled us to take all of life's punches head on and overcome the difficulties we faced from relocating. Now in 2018 we are back and my friends know that I have dedicated 2018 to being the year of LEAH!  I quit my part time job in March and since then I can feel myself shining through and part of me is that I am a writer.  I write to express creativity, to express political beliefs, to get paid, to release emotions and share excitement. I enjoy writing, I have found myself missing it.  Also, I find social media is a picture but in a blog, I can share an entire story with all of our friends and family spread out across the world. So yes, there will be a three year gap in our online scrapbook but I am going to slowly get us going again.
